Jaya Vinse Ruban (47 years) is the Head and Professor of Chemistry in St. Xaviers College, Tirunelveli a Jesuit institution since 2011. Prior to this he was a professor in reputed colleges for 8 years. A studious student and teacher, he has been awarded Doctorate in Chemistry in the field Polymer Nanocomposites.

1. He was a Project Fellow in an ISRO funded Project.
2. His research is based on preparation of epoxy-polyester blends and nanocomposites.
3. His paper presented in Indraprastha International Conclave on Nano Science and Technology, New Delhi during November 16-17, 2010 was adjudged the best. He has fifteen publications to his credit with total impact factor 70.47, 203 citations, h-index 6 and i10-index 6.
4. He is a fellow of Indian Science Congress. One candidate has completed Doctoral degree under him An Environmentalist and expert in Physical Chemistry, he is working in Nanotechnology, Polymer Nanocomposites, and Molecular Docking.
5. He is an excellent Chemistry Professor having enormous experience in teaching all levels of chemistry.
